A very good and dear client came into Malibu to get his hair cut 2 days ago and wow he needed shaping! I hate it when men hair gets really thick on the sides. I took of the length on the side and gave him a fade and also added texture to the top!

I was looking through pictures of hair and saw this picture! I love the 1970 inspired waves but with a twist! I love the straight ends! I love doing this to some of my clients! I just wanted to post this awesome picture! Classic with a modern edge!
Yesterday an awesome client came in with her daughter and needed me to define her haircut. I cut of about 2 inches and shaped it around her face. I kept the layers longer but still added movement! She looked beautiful!

I have been cutting her hair a few times now and every time is getting better and better! She has wonderful hair but before seeing me the proportions of the haircut where off and it was way to heavy the overall look! This time she came in I took off 2 inches and shortened up her layers a little bit! I also brought up the hair around her face and connected the rest of the hair to create flow!

Some people love metal brushes and others love boar bristle brushes! I prefer the Ibiza Boar Bristle because it adds enough tension to the hair to get it straight without ruining the quality of hair! Yes metal brushes get hotter and can create a curl to the hair that last longer but if your going to do that I think healthier hair with a boar bristle can do the same thing! I also like the Ibiza brushes with the cork handles I think they feel better when grabbing the brush, it’s a little softer.
I loved the hair this new client had and had great style! She needed a good haircut that would be easy for her to do but still bang-in hot! She had this organic look to her but was very beautiful! We talked about many different styles but after thinking about shapes and angles I Came up with a messy long bob called a lop! I added movement to the hair by adding long layers and kept it long around her face it was fun! I used a razor when finished to create piecy fun sexy hair!

This training lead him to train under Chris McMillan for several years. Recently, Michael decided to take his talents to the long awaited Ramirez Tran Salon. Michael's inspiration comes from runways, editorial, and everyday life.
