An awesome person that has beautiful hair and also works in our Chris Mcmillan salon had just plain long boring hair! I always tell her when I see her in the salon that I want to change her look! One day she finally decided to believe and what a change! I Brought up the length and created an edge!

Last month I was on a cool job and created some different looks for people! If you drive around LOS ANGELES you could see some of my work on billboards! I was lucky enough to work with some of the talent on this particular job! Everyone on set was exteremely awesome! I think its cool sometimes when you look up and see your work around town! A simple shine soft wave! Hope you like!
This haircut experience was really exciting! I was doing a favor for a good friend, and we as a team decided on a shorter cut! I wanted to create organize mess……I decided to keep some of the length in certain parts but chunk up other parts of his hair! Love it!!!

This client decided to let her hair rest from her extensions…. From the extensions being in so long (tension breakage) has caused her hair to to break! These photos are from her second cut and we as a team were very pleased! …….. She was stoked and I was really happy!

Sometimes I have clients that ask me about great products! Sometimes they are expensive products and other times cheap products! I recently was able to work with theses suave products on a job and really like them! The dry shampoo is awesome! I love the smell and it really adds texture at the root without leaving a greasy look! I really like it! The light hold hairspray is genius! I like the light hold it doesn’t freeze the hair and leave flakes! A real light mist!!! The mouse is great for defusing hair! A lost art… but really gets the job done by adding height! These three produts are great and even greater because of the cost!!! Try them out!
Michael Sparks is a Santa Cruz native. He started out assisting a trio of famed hair stylists at the prestigious Chris McMillan Salon: Mara Rozak, Leanne Citrone, and Jen Atkens.
This training lead him to train under Chris McMillan for several years. Recently, Michael decided to take his talents to the long awaited Ramirez Tran Salon. Michael's inspiration comes from runways, editorial, and everyday life.
